THE ABBEY FOUNDATION
DE LA LUCERNE CONTINUES THE WORK OF RECONSTRUCTION

When Father Lelgard died in 1994, his sister Yvonne took up the torch to complete the restoration of the refectory and the nave of the abbey church, then the dovecote and the swan house. In 2001, the Foundation bought the mill.

In 2020, Mr. Christian Moufle, president of the Foundation following Mademoiselle Lelgard, launched the project to restore the roofs of the transept and the choir of the abbey church.

This project, selected by the Mission Bern, benefits from the heritage lotto in September 2021.

At the same time, the restoration of the entrance to the chapter house, planned for 2023, is supported by the Club des Patrons de la Manche and the Heritage Foundation.
