THE SPIRITUAL WORK
OF FATHER LELÉGARD
Turning to Mondaye, a still-living Premonstratensian abbey founded by La Lucerne in 1202, Father Lelegard created with Father Louis Bouyer the Canonical Fraternity of the Abbey of La Lucerne in 1964 which perpetuates the spirit of Saint Norbert in this place, to re-establish a permanent community there. It also makes Lucerne a place of preservation and transmission of ancestral liturgical traditions.
